1. Introduction
Welcome to Vixe Music Player ("we", "our", or "the App"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Android application.
By using Vixe Music Player, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Vixe Music Player is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information from your device, such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
The App only accesses the following types of data locally on your device:
a) Music & Audio Files
What we access: Audio files (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC, etc.) stored on your device's internal storage or SD card.
Why we need it: To scan, list, play, edit (merge, split, remove silence), and manage your music library within the App.
How it is handled: All processing happens entirely on your device. We never upload, transmit, or share your music files to any server or third party.
b) Storage (Photos/Media)
What we access: When you choose to change the app background or album cover, we may access images from your gallery.
Why we need it: To set custom background images or embed album art into your music files.
How it is handled: Images are processed locally. Album art embedding uses FFmpeg locally on your device. No images are sent to external servers (unless you choose to download a cover from a URL you provide).
c) Device Identifiers (for Ads)
What we collect: Google AdMob may collect your Android Advertising ID.
Why we need it: To serve relevant advertisements and prevent ad fraud.
How it is handled: This is collected by Google's advertising SDK. You can reset or limit this ID at any time via your device's Google Settings app.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information accessed by the App only for the following core features:
Playing and controlling audio playback.
Creating playlists and navigating your music folders.
Equalizer and audio effects (Bass Boost, Virtualizer, Loudness Enhancer).
Editing audio (merge, split, remove silence).
Customizing the app interface (background images, accent colors, album covers).
Displaying advertisements (via Google AdMob).
4. Third-Party Services
Vixe Music Player uses the following third-party services, which may collect information under their own privacy policies:
We do not share your music files, folders, or personal data with any third party.
